I received a Christmas Card and letter from Pat Perkins. Pat was one of the original members of our DDA Chapter,
she now lives in East Boston MA. She has a lovely view from their new apartment which is right on the Boston Harbor. They
are enjoying the sights, being able to go to the grandchildren's games and many things to visit in the area. Pat says she
and her husband John are doing well for our age (not quoted), like everone else. They do both have kneew challenges but still
get around and are having home PT to get them back in shape. They are I am sorry to say currently Patriots,Red Sox and Bruins
Fans! I am upset about that as they both originally were from South Jersey and had to be Eagles, Phillies and Flyers Fans
gone astray.
They do miss Delaware and our long time friends but their new setting is very nice...and hey haven't "killed" each other
yet (joke!).
She wishes this year finds all healthy, happy and ready for snow!.
All information from Pats Christmas Note. A little history on Pat's painting history that I am aware of, I met
Pat at a class for decorative painting at Del Tech's Senior Program. The class was taught by Gayle Quillen. Pat Fox and possibly
others were in the class. Several continued classes in Gayle's home in Milford area for a couple of years before we started
a chapter and Gayle soon gave up the classes and joined the employment forces. Pat Perkins started classes at the Lutheran
Church and when she gave them up suggestted we see if they would give us the "spot" and it worked out well for many years
meeting there.
We miss you Pat and thank you for all your cotributions to our chapter and decorative painting in "Slower Lower"
Delaware.
